Apparently he gave her these things called Eatwhatever — a duo pack of mints to swallow and mints to suck on!
Hmm… actually, that sounds kind of fun! Ha!

My girlfriends and I made a “smash and grab” 12 hour trip to Atlantic City last weekend. Why? Because we could and we wanted to tick it off the list… “been there, done that”, that kinda thing.
There we found the city’s premiere hotel hopelessly dated, the mini-bar non existent (seriously!) and the casino so busy you had to wait 40 minutes for the honor of placing a bet.
The upside of Atlantic City, besides the fabulous people watching and ass shaking we did at the discothèque , was definitely dinner at Izakaya.
Izakaya, at the Borgata Hotel, had some of the best Japanese fusion food I’ve had in a long time. The girls and I inhaled the crispy rock shrimp and tuna tataki. We also loved the rice free Baby Dragon roll and the yellowtail jalapeno had just enough kick to get us in the mood for fist pumping.
So, if you find yourself in the AC, do make sure you visit Izakaya. It’ll be the best bet you make all night.

My pick of the week comes straight outta the West Coast….
Cora’s Coffee Shop. Conveniently located opposite the Viceroy Santa Monica (where I was staying), Cora’s serves fantastic scrambled eggs, wholesome bread, beautiful coffee and has a setting that’s pretty and serene despite being on a pretty major main road.
If you are staying in Santa Monica, this place demands a visit. Oh, and don’t be surprised if vehicles actually SLOW DOWN when you are trying to cross the road back to the hotel. In Cali they don’t actually try and kill pedestrians. They just drink drive at night 🙂

No people, this is not your average bar. It’s The Stephen Talkhouse. Situated in Main street Amagansett, it’s dirty, it’s grotty, there’s sweat dripping from the ceiling, not one lock on the bathroom stalls and we just love it! Can’t wait to get on the dance floor tomorrow night.
